Quarter four has been great for DEKO 37’s video production in San Antonio. We have done several product review videos, sales videos, property shoots and TEDxSanAntonio. In the next few weeks we are going to begin production for Felix Gonzalez’s law firm, TEDxWomen, a photography job and casting for a film called “A description of relationships after they’ve ended.”
TEDxSanAntonio was held at the Empire theatre and had nine speakers. I directed the show. When I first stepped up to direct I was a little nervous, but after several meetings and rehearsals, the show was very easy. We didn’t have any technical errors and the TEDx team was great. I am currently editing the talks. Some of my favorites were about electric cars, depression and creativity.
The film “A description of relationships after they have ended” is in pre-production mode. We have shot a few test scenes to see what it will look like in an 8mm format. This weekend we are going to shoot the entire film with non actors, then edit it so we can see where we can improve for the actual shoot. We just put a casting call on Backstage and have received several interested people. The film is about a young man, James, and a breakup with a girl he is seeing, Sam.
We also did another video for Paper Moon Painting. This video was about how to properly set a client’s house before painting it. I didn’t realize how much prep work was needed before a paint job.
My office mate, David, helped me with some product videos for Gadget Maverick. We did a Super Socket tool and a unique level tool. David gave his honest review of how to use the product and how easy it was too use. Gadget Maverick was very appreciative of our work and has sold a lot because of the videos.
LAMP Media Productions also hired us again to produce video in San Antonio. We filmed an apartment complex that was built for people on welfare. Several politicians and builders showed up to cut the ribbon, celebrating the apartments grand opening.
