DEKO 37 Video Production: Summer Highlights and New Ventures
Well summer has been great so far at DEKO 37 Video Production San Antonio. We’re thrilled to share some of our exciting projects and new developments from this summer. As a premier video production company in San Antonio, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch documentaries, short films, features, commercials, non-profit videos, and more. This season has been really great, and we’re excited to highlight some of our recent work!!
Celebrating Diversity with DEKO 37
Earlier this year, DEKO 37 diversified our services by investing in a portable sound mixer (Zoom F8n pro mixer), new lavalier mics (deity mics), and other sound devices. By doing this, we can offer take on several audio-focused projects for films, corporate and any other genre that needs audio.
One of our most notable audio projects was with Dodge EV. We equipped test drivers from large corporations with wireless microphones to capture their experiences driving the new Dodge EV vans. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the van’s speed, payload capacity, and impressive battery mileage.
After this DEKO 37 did the sound for testimonials on how the EV van performed.
Collaborations and Community Projects
This summer, DEKO 37 has had the privilege of working with several organizations and individuals:
- disABILITYsa: DEKO 37 has helped disABILITYsa several times. The mission of disABILITYsa is to educate, advance, and engage individuals with disabilities by building connections, exchanging information, creating opportunities, and strengthening our disability community in the greater San Antonio area. Recently we helped them with shooting and editing a pilot.
- San Antonio Area African American Community Fund: The Renaissance with the Stars is coming up shortly and DEKO 37 was hired to shoot several videos with for this event. Renaissance With The Stars Some of the video we did were videos about the contestants taking dance lessons with their dance partner, interviews with companies receiving grant money, and other similar videos.
We were able to also work with singer GOLA from Iran on her background animation during her concert at the same event. It was all a lot of work, but it came out really great. The event was a lot of fun and GOLA’s performance was terrific.
Other than that, the food, entertainment and everything else was great. I really enjoyed watching the dancers because I filmed them when they were just started practicing their routine. It was amazing how fast they learned it.

Neurological plasticity, also known as neural or brain plasticity, is the brain’s ability to change and adapt through growth and reorganization. It can occur as part of normal development or in response to injuries like strokes or traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Neuroplasticity involves structural and functional changes to the brain’s activity, such as the formation of new neurons, synapses, and neuronal remodeling.
We are producing client testimonials, seminars and informational videos…and hopefully a documentary!!!
- Vanessa Cherry: We shot a BTS video for Vanessa’s song “Let’s go to the Movies” in Lockhart Texas at Gas Light Theatre. Check out Vanessa’s Mariachis San Antonio site out! The music video came out great and is currently getting re-edited. The hard part about editing BTS is that there is so much great footage. DEKO 37 shot over 2 1/2 hours of B-roll and is now getting it down to 10 minutes.
- San Antonio Museum of Art: On may we shot a video for the San Antonio Museum of Art. It went really well. The art procurment employee reviewed pictures from a book called Bike Riders by Daniel Lyons. I am going to see the movie soon!
- Archdiocese: We worked on various projects, showcasing the meaningful work of the Archdiocese and its impact on the community. There’s a 90 year old Mariachi musician that plays outside St. Fernando Cathedral. We did an interview with him.

Embracing Innovation: Our Spec Commercial Venture
In addition to our client projects, DEKO 37 is always exploring new creative avenues. We’re excited to announce that we’re in the process of shooting a spec commercial for Liquid Death.
To visualize the commercial, we turned to Midjourney, a cutting-edge tool that generates images based on detailed textual descriptions. While it requires precise input, the results are incredibly rewarding. For example, if you want an image of a lady dancing in a club, you need to specify her appearance, the club’s ambiance, framing, and colors. It’s a little hard at first because you have to type in exactly what you want.
For example, if you wanted a picture of Larry Bird eat waffles while shooting a three point shot in a yacht for Videographer San Antonio…you have to type exactly what the yacht looks like, what do the waffles look like, where is Larry Bird standing, is it a wide shot, etc.

We are going to film a commercial in Cancun in November, a couple of seminars and other great stuff. It will be at Dreams resorts. Most of the footage will be for social media.
