Last week we shot a promotional video production in San Antonio for 5050 Photo booth. They invented a new type of photobooth and want to show the video on their website and social media. We spent a few days setting up the cylcoroma studio at Alamo City Studios. Their logo colors are pink and blue so I bought several gels from Texas Scenic and Amazon. It took three to four hours to finish the configuration. The hardest part of the set up was getting the shadows out of the background.
To get the shadows out, I needed to get more lights. I called my DJ friend Mark and he loaned me some lights that change to several colors. I also used some of Ray’s and Aiden’s lights. This solved most of our problems. On the day of the shoot, we still had a lot of shadows coming from the booth, bur after configuring the lights at different angles we got it down.
The shoot lasted for five hours and it went well. The owners hired models to act like they were in the photo booth. We also got several individual photo booth shots as well. We used a Canon C200 for most of the shoot. A few of the shots were captured with an Iphone and a Panasonic G85.
The video production in San Antonio came out great.
This week we are going to shoot a proof of concept for the short ODD Jobs and work on a Facebook Ad for Rocket Focus (energy pills). Rocket Focus was started by Louis Hancock, you can see his website here:
I’m very excited and nervous to shoot the concepts shoot for Odd Jobs. Hopefully it will turn out great so I can shoot the entire film.
